Stacie has immersed her life in music as both a clarinet teacher and performer, and she thoroughly enjoys sharing music with others. Originally from Arkansas, she has lived in several states in pursuit of her musical career. Stacie graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music and German from Arkansas Tech University, a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville, and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Michigan State University where she studied with the illustrious Elsa Ludewig-Verdehr.
Stacie was an adjunct clarinet instructor at Albion College in Michigan, was Assistant Professor of Clarinet at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX, and continues to teach private lessons locally. She has performed with the Midland Symphony, Lansing Symphony, Orchestra of the Pines, and the Stone Fort Wind Quintet. Stacie has been a clarinetist with The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” since 2001, and frequently performs chamber music in the DC Metro area.
